1st MAMARAZZI Photo Contest

Topic: Christmas Spirit

THE ASSIGNMENT :

Your assignment is to take pictures of your child, grandchild or your friends baby to show some Christmas spirit. Everything Christmas related goes. Drop some Christmas ligths in the background or put a Santa hat on the baby. Find a great location that symbolizes Christmas or just take the picture at home. Shoot black & white or color, go traditional or totally crazy – just be creative.

Email your favorite 3 shots to karin @mamarazzi.me by December 15. The best pictures will be posted on the blog. The winner will receive a surprise.

KEEP IN MIND ...By submitting your photos, you agree to let Mamarazzi post your images online as examples. All photos will be credited to the photographer who took them and no copyright is transferred by entering.

Mamarazzi Fun Photo Tip : Don’t be afraid to CROP

Cropping is something most people have a hard time with. As simple as it seems, some of you are just scared when it comes to cropping! GET OVER IT! Ignore grandma (who says "Oh, no, you cut the top of his head off!") and MOVE in CLOSE!

You don't have to have faces to show personality and the way you crop a photo can make it so much more interesting and fun! Don't be scared - get a few ‘normal’ shots and then go crazy! I bet your favorites will be the creative shots (and you can always print out the ‘normal’ ones for grandma!)

Example 1:

Hendrix was playing crocodile with his grandmother and she taught him how to imitate the crocodile’s mouth with his hands. This picture will always remind me how the two of them played crocodile with their hands for hours.

Example 2:

Although this picture does not show Jade's face, this cropped picture has great personality and beauty.

Launching Mamarazzi

We are so excited to launch Mamarazzi. Our goal is to make beautiful timeless photographs of children using natural light in a comfortable familiar environment. What makes us special is that we give the photos a special touch in the post production process.

We would like to invite you to go to our website www.mamarazzi.me and to enjoy our work.
We would appreciate if you could spread the word!
